Anthony has worked on historic buildings and their repair, alteration, reuse and enlargement for over 35 years. He has advised and carried out work on buildings of national importance such as Windsor Castle, Cambridge Colleges, numerous listed theatres, institutional buildings including embassies and educational establishments, and large houses in the country as well as Central London. He is accustomed to dealing with complex and challenging historic building projects within the UK such as Windsor Castle, but also overseas such as the former headquarters jof the HSBC Bank buildings in Shanghai.
Specialisms include advice and feasibility studies on the change of use in numerous listed buildings to add value and protect their status, providing a future for the building with enhanced viability whilst protecting their best features and character. He has also directed work enacting such advice, finding pragmatic solutions to problems that complicated new construction work within fragile existing fabric.
