David is an accredited conservation architect who has been with the Practice since 1997 and brings, in particular, a technical expertise in the repair and adaptation of heritage buildings, notably as project architect for the construction phase of the regeneration of the historic buildings in the Thermae Bath Spa project. Recently completed work includes the restoration of a Grade II* 17th Century country house in Wiltshire following a major fire, and a portfolio of condition surveys, with current surveys including Okehampton Castle for English Heritage and the former Empire Hotel, Bath. David also acted as consultant for Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service consultancy for the south west, undertaking surveys, inspections and managing interventions affecting their extensive portfolio of heritage buildings.
