Helen Ensor

Associate Director

Helen joined DIA Historic Buildings Consultancy in 2013, having previously worked for Westminster City Council and English Heritage.
Helen has extensive experience of heritage planning in central London, as well as further afield.  Her advice is respected and influential.  Helen’s clients have found that she has an ability to ‘unlock’ the potential of a site and achieve ambitious consents. 

Helen works extensively for CapCo on their Covent Garden Estate, and has provided considered and authoritative advice on projects ranging from 18th century country houses to the redevelopment of post-war buildings in west London.

Helen has a BA (Hons) in English and Art/Architectural History and an MA in Archaeology of Buildings, both from the University of York. She teaches as an Invited Lecturer on the Architectural Association School of Architecture’s Building Conservation Graduate Diploma and various MA archaeology/heritage management courses.  She is a full member of the IHBC.
