Neil McLaughlin

Neil studied at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen at the Robert Gordon University before joining the company in 2008, and qualified in 2011 from Westminster University, London. Neil has gained conservation experience from working on a variety of projects at Donald Insall Associates, from private residential houses to large mixed use developments. These have included role of Project Architect on 8 and 9 Smith Square, where Neil oversaw all contract administration, together with site queries and job running. At a private Essex country house, Neil oversaw all liaising with the local authority and English Heritage, successfully achieving all proposals to allow full renovations and an extension.
Neil is currently working on residential and retail projects to listed properties in Mayfair and Richmond, and ongoing works at London Bridge Station. Together with experience on sensitive repairs and rejuvenation of listed structures, Neil’s excellent communication skills with both local authorities and design teams assist with realising clients’ ambitions and working with the unique challenges each building brings.
