This project also includes some sub-projects: An external fire next to the original stone facade resulted in extensive damage to the stonework; delamination of the stone to brick bonding of the elevation was also discovered. The Practice was appointed to repair and restore the building to its original state, involving the reinstatement of the whole elevation to the upper three floors, including balustrade, parapet and attic portico.

Carefully selected replacement stone ensured a good match with that remaining and precise measurements and moulds of the original stones were also taken. Two porticos were reconstructed from site measurements of similar features, as parts of the originals were damaged beyond recognition.
