The present core of the house was built in 1818 by Decimus Burton, being as one of 56 villas then proposed by The Crown Commissioners for John Nash's Regents Park.
The Practice was appointed as architects for major repairs and improvements. Historically important interiors were conserved and some accommodation replanned. New work includes an extension containing a swimming pool and gym, and garage blocks built in the form of a stable yard. Extensive landscaping was also carried out.
Subsequently the Practice was engaged for a similar refurbishment with extensive internal replanning for a new leaseholder.
