Built as a hunting lodge in the 1620s, 'The Cwmmau' was later extended and turned into a farmstead with a range of buildings around a courtyard. The house was substantially repaired in the 1930s, after a period of serious neglect.

We undertook a survey of the whole complex and subsequently carried out major repairs to several of the barns, repairing the oak and ash framing, weatherboarding and stone tiling.

In the farmhouse repairs and improvements include the creation of a new bedroom for 'B&B' guests in the adjacent 'Mediaeval Building.
