Fire had severely damaged the principal rooms in one of the finest 15th century manor houses in the country; including the East Wing, Dining Room, Green Parlour and State Bedroom.
Appointed to restore the house to its pre-fire condition, we salvaged and re-used or copied the fine timber panelling in the State Bedroom, re-instated the Main Staircase and redecorated all rooms to deal with smoke damage.
Luckily many of the contents had been saved and a Country Life article commented that, 'it is virtually impossible to tell that there had ever been such a disaster'.
