Over two decades the Practice has directed major repairs and alterations at this Abbey, founded by William the Conqueror. At the Gatehouse we provided an exhibition space inserting a new floor, roof, stair and joinery, and located a new visitors' centre, shop and education room in the repaired Courthouse. Repairs to the buildings include re-roofing in tiles and lead and consolidation of stonework. Outbuildings, including the Gothic Dairy and Ice House, have been restored. We have also carried out feasibility studies for improved facilities and access.
