Created in the 1820s by Sir Jeffry Wyatville for George IVth, only the chimney piece and window tracery survived the 1992 fire. Rebuilt as part of the major post-fire restoration work at the Castle, Wyatville's original Gothic design was reproduced using equivalent construction techniques and employing modern materials as very little of the original construction remained.
