This project also includes some sub-projects:
Set deep into the hillside in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Centre implements a major part of our Master Plan for the School. Built of brick under a discretely coloured aluminium roof, planning permission for the complex was obtained after extensive discussions with the local council and amenity groups.
The 600 seat auditorium, with its moveable acoustic reflectors catering for a variety of uses, has facilities and equipment of professional standard. Smaller studios for music and drama and all teaching rooms have acoustic protection and data and audio cabling, while spacious foyers on three levels provide exhibition and informal meeting and tuition spaces.
Building work was programmed to allow the school to function fully during the construction period.
Client: The Trustees & Governors of Woldingham School
