Since 1968 the Courts at Trinity College have been the subject of major repairs, conservation and improvements directed by the Practice. This has been an extraordinary instance of rescue and care for complex and valuable historic buildings in intensive daily use.

Following a detailed structural survey of the College in 1972 a phased programme of repair has been established. Systematic treatment and repairs have been accompanied by analysis and correction of defects; attention has been paid to preventative repair using long lasting structural techniques. Work on the most recent phase to the Master's Lodge was completed in October 2004.

Awards: Major restoration: Europa Nostra Diploma of Merit. Wren Library: European Architectural Heritage Year Award.

Client: The Master and Fellows of Trinity College
