We converted this redundant building by Alfred Waterhouse, its interior degraded by alterations and used as a garage and bicycle store, to become a new auditorium for the College. After first restoring the exterior, we inserted a new raked floor, contemporary fittings and furnishings within. Cellars were converted to dressing rooms, cloakrooms and toilets, new staircases added and a basement plant room excavated. Independent use of all spaces is possible and the acoustics are good for both music and speech.
