Repairs to the decayed and neglected facade grant aided by Shrewsbury's Conservation Area Partnership with English Heritage, revealed some original early 15th century oak framing beneath fake 'timbers' painted on the render. These were recorded and the frontage re-rendered with jetty beams left exposed. The new decoration scheme for the facade enhances the late 19th century shop front by using the red and gold of an earlier colour scheme found during cleaning.
