A tree for every flight: Our pledge to mitigate our carbon footprint
August 3, 2016

At Donald Insall Associates we recognise that our activities have an impact on the environment, and we cultivate a culture of caring for the environment in everything from our ethos in practical architecture to the sustainably sourced paper we use around the office.

As part of our commitment to reduce and mitigate our carbon footprint, we have pledged to plant one tree for every flight taken by the practice. The first of 75 trees, which will eventually include 25 each of oak, lime and alder, have now been planted (seen in the left hand image) with further plantings scheduled in the autumn.

Many thanks to our former Director Anthony Close-Smith who planted them with his own hands!
