Donald Insall Associates appointed to help save WWI hangars
October 6, 2014
The Hooton Park Trust has been formed to conserve and reuse three hangars built in 1917 by the Royal Flying Corps, before the formation of the RAF. The Hooton Park airfield was operated by the RAF through the Second World War and although the Vauxhall Motors assembly plant now occupies the airfield, the group of three hangars remain.
They are listed Grade II* and appear on the English Heritage Buildings at Risk register.
We have been asked to help the Trust find a sustainable new life for this unique and poignant site. Visit Hooton Park Trust website.
