The Chancellor has announced details of the £30 million funding package for listed place of worship. The Holy Trinity Church, a Grade II listed church in Runcorn, has been awarded £78,300 following Donald Insall Associates’ application to the Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund – one of nearly 400 out of 1900 applications. The funding will provide a new tower roof and urgent repairs to the nave roof and gutters.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has said the funding will “create local skilled jobs, improve community facilities and protect heritage.”
