Repairs Underway at Chester Cathedral
November 26, 2015
The WW1 Centenary Grant funded repair works to the Chester Cathedral roof are well underway. The lower south aisle pinnacles have been repaired and now the masons are moving onto the nave roof and up the tower. Meanwhile, the cloister roof is being renewed using traditional materials and techniques. The inside of the north cloister has been gently cleaned, the floor re-laid and detrimental cement pointing renewed with lime.
