Wimpole Gothic Folly Revealed
March 9, 2015
Donald Insall Associates has been working with the National Trust and a conservation team to conserve the 18th Century Gothic folly on the Wimpole Estate in Cambridgeshire.
During the works regular visitor tours took place to view the progress of the stone repairs. The project is now nearing completion; the scaffold on the main tower is coming down to reveal the reinstated crenellations. Design profiles for the new parapet have been developed from archive information. ITV News Anglia recently visited to see what was happening.
