Anthony has worked on the repair, alteration, reuse and enlargement of historic buildings for over 35 years. He has advised and carried out work on buildings of national importance such as Windsor Castle, Cambridge Colleges, numerous listed theatres, institutional buildings such as embassies and educational establishments, and large houses in the country as well as in Central London. He is accustomed to dealing with complex and challenging historic buildings projects within the UK, such as Windsor Castle, but also overseas, e.g. the former headquarters of the HSBC Bank buildings in Shanghai. His specialism includes advice and feasibility studies on the change of use in numerous listed buildings in order to add value and protect their status, providing a future for buildings with enhanced viability whilst protecting their best features and character. He has also directed work enacting such advice, finding pragmatic solutions to problems that have complicated new construction work within fragile existing fabric.
