Cardiff Castle

Renowned for opulent and gilded interiors, this Cardiff landmark is best known for the Victorian additions made by the 3rd Marquis of Bute to the mediaeval castle, itself built over a 4th century Roman fort.  The Practice was appointed to implement a five year programme of repair to the external masonry of the battlement walls, towers, keep and The House, and for the refurbishment of the basement and entertaining suites, together with new improved access. This project follows a comprehensive programme of research and is supported by a substantial Heritage Lottery Fund grant.
