Liverpool Town Hall
John Wood the Elder’s and James Wyatt’s Liverpool Town Hall required upgrading and renovation to render its Georgian interiors suitable for use for public functions.
An essential feature of the Practice’s renovation of the Town Hall has been to make the building more accessible to persons with mobility and sensory impairments. Ramps have been constructed at the main and east entrances, as well as within the Council Chamber, always taking full account of their historical settings. Accessible toilets are now available at ground and principal floor levels and a new lift has been installed to carry wheelchairs.
