Pitzhanger Manor and Grounds

Pitzhanger Manor is the Grade I listed former country home of Sir John Soane and his family.  Based on an earlier house by Dance the Younger it was remodelled and extended by Soane in the late 18th century. After his occupation it was further extended in both the 19th and mid 20th centuries. Owned by the local authority it was used as an art gallery and museum in more recent times.

DIA were originally appointed to prepare a Conservation Management Plan to guide and advise major alterations which would see the house restored largely to its Soanian appearance with new facilities created in the historic park. During this latter stage DIA were engaged to provide supporting documentation to help secure the planning and listed building consent for a scheme designed by Jestico and Whiles, these were granted in February 2014.
