Wesley Methodist Church
Having recently refurbished the church hall, reception area and café, Wesley Methodist Church have invited Insall to assist with the replanning and modernisation of the worship area. The church was built in the early 1800s, but was remodelled extensively in 1906 and the roof reconstructed in the 1980s. Although attractive architecturally, the worship space has fixed pews and a sloping floor which means that it does not permit a wide range of uses. Insall are in the process of carrying out feasibility works into levelling the floor, improving natural lighting and enhancing the interior so that it can be arranged to suit more varied worship styles, including a private prayer area and will also permit use for concerts, meetings, exhibitions and drama.
