Our social values

We recognise that our actions as professionals, and as an organisation, could impact positively or negatively on our communities and the natural and built environment. As part of commitment to nurturing social values, we seek opportunities to make positive contributions to the wellbeing of our communities through project work, opportunities for training and support for local charitable projects outside of our everyday work.

We are dedicated to promoting sustainability, diversity and inclusivity in the heritage sector and we participate in a variety of outreach projects, including:

  • The RIBA Student Mentoring Scheme, mentoring third year Part 1 undergraduates from the University of Westminster and Central St Martin’s School (UAL)
  • Volunteering with local outreach initiatives, such as workshops held for young people (age 14-19) at the NLA Learning Programme for Conservation
  • We run a work experience programme for those aged 18-25, with successful applicants joining us for two to three weeks
  • Members of the Practice volunteer for the following building conservation charities: Victorian Society; SPAB; National Trust etc.

We donate a percentage of our profits to charity each year. Every member of the practice votes on a recipient, including both building conservation charities and wider good causes.
