Joanna Kelly

Joanna is an Associate Director, who initially joined the Historic Buildings and Townscape Consultancy as an Assistant Historic Building Advisor in 2012. Joanna provides expert historic building, townscape and design advice to a broad range of clients including the Cadogan Estate, the Diocese of London and the Crown Estate as well as architectural firms, developers and private clients. Joanna has also worked closely with visualisation firms where schemes with townscape and heritage impacts require Accurate Visual Representation. In her role she has researched and authored Historic Buildings Reports, Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments, Heritage Statements, Preliminary Assessments for Pre-Application Advice, Gazetteers for Conservation Management Plans and Environmental Impact Assessment chapters. Joanna also has considerable experience in engagement processes including public consultations and liaising with Historic England and local authorities. Joanna has previously worked as a researcher for Tavernor Consultancy Architect + Heritage. She completed her Masters dissertation for the course Conservation of Historic Buildings in 2012 at the University of Bath, on the value of protecting Victorian hospital sites in urban areas. Joanna is a full member of the IHBC.
