Matthew joined the practice in 2016, following the opening of our Birmingham office, and is an AABC-accredited architect. He gained professional experience in firms specialising in historic conservation as well as contemporary-design-led practices, wherein he has worked on a range of high-profile cultural projects and has gained thorough knowledge of both modern and traditional construction techniques. Matthew is particularly skilled at analysing and reordering complex buildings while pragmatically balancing the needs of historic conservation with those of sustainable revenue generation and rendering traditional buildings fit for day-to-day use.
