Olivia Stitson

Olivia joined Donald Insall Associates in 2019 after completing her BSc and MArch degrees at the Welsh School of Architecture. Her final thesis project looked to uncover the historical and social value of a former Steel Works, utilising the concept of social capital to reignite the site as the core of a ‘civic ecosystem’.
Olivia has worked on a range of repair and restoration projects for the Palace of Westminster, as well as at the British Museum and on various adaptive reuse schemes for public and commercial clients. Olivia has acquired wide-ranging experience spanning the early stages of design through to construction, including works to ‘in-use’ Grade I listed buildings and Scheduled Ancient Monuments. Through her role on these projects, she has gained significant on-site experience in carrying out condition surveys and associated repair proposals, as well as the skills to design within historically sensitive contexts.
