Lansdowne Road
Cambridge
This new house in Cambridge represents a departure for the Practice from more traditional forms of housing. On discussion with our client the design resulted in a combination of compound curves bisected radially to form living spaces of varying height and level, producing a series of exciting and unusual volumes and spaces. The house is wired throughout for computers, and software allows for monitoring of services from remote controllers within the building and, via the internet from anywhere in the world. It incorporates an advanced VRV (variable refrigerant volume) system with high levels of insulation, designed for maximum energy efficiency.
