Donald Insall Associates were appointed to undertake an assessment of the significance of three former warehouse buildings, one Grade II listed, in the heart of Manchester’s former warehouse district to inform proposals to upgrade the existing aparthotel. Our guidance helped to unlock the design proposals; we provided a Heritage Statement in support of an application for listed building consent and planning permission and led through negotiations with Manchester City Council. We were later appointed to provide specialist conservation architecture services to assist in the discharge of conditions attached to the consented scheme.
