Westbourne Terrace

At Insalls, we work on projects of all shapes and sizes. Recently, Senior Architect, Michele Verdi, had the pleasure of working with a private client to refurbish their flat in a Grade-II listed terrace house in London.

Behind the simple and clean aesthetic lies a truly creative edge and great workmanship. The project is an excellent example of how small changes can make great improvements in the layout and finishes of a property.

The main interventions were relocating of one of the bathrooms to an oversized entrance hall, so as to increase the size of the existing kitchen without compromising the living spaces and bedrooms. There were also new finishes, lights and colours throughout the property, installation of new secondary glazing, and an independent electric hot water and heating system with electric underfloor heating in the bathrooms and kitchen. This was all cleverly done taking note of the significance and character of the historic building.
