Wimpole Gothic Tower receives Europa Nostra Award in a local ceremony

Members representing the Europa Nostra Award visited the Wimpole Gothic Toweryesterday in a local award-giving ceremony to celebrate the restoration project which led the 18th century folly to be accessible by visitors once again. Donald Insall Associates’ Associate Director Karen Teideman-Barrett gave a guided tour of Wimpole Gothic Tower during the ceremony, where the restoration project she led was one of the seven winners of the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Award Grand Prix (Conservation Category). The prestigious award was presented to the Estate by Sneška Quaedvlieg-Mihailović, Secretary General of the Europa Nostra, which is commemorated with a medal on site (pictured).
