Georgina Hamshaw

Georgina joined Donald Insall Associates in the autumn of 2022. She developed an interest in historic buildings whilst studying for her BA (Hons) degree in Art History, focusing her undergraduate dissertation on Wollaton Hall, exploring ways to ensure its continual use. Georgina had a first career in finance, working as a Finance Officer for a museum before joining Donald Insall Associates. She was awarded her MSc (with Distinction) in Historic Conservation from Oxford Brookes University in 2021, and was the recipient of the Insall Dissertation Prize for her investigation into the adaptation of listed purpose-built banks for commercial reuse. Georgina is an affiliate member of the IHBC.
