Kate joined Donald Insall Associates from Westminster City Council, where she was a Senior Urban Design and Conservation Officer who dealt with numerous redevelopment schemes in the historic environment. Now heading our Manchester office and Northern Historic Buildings Consultancy team, Kate provides detailed advice and guidance in respect of development proposals in a range of different contexts and assesses their impact on heritage assets in accordance with the NPPF and local policy and guidance. Clients include Grosvenor Estate, National Museums Liverpool, York City Council, Stockport Council, Cheshire West and Chester, the Royal Opera House and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Kate has a degree in Architectural Studies and a Master’s in Historic Conservation; she is a full member of the IHBC, a trustee of the Greater Manchester Building Presentation Trust, and sits on the Places Matter North West Design Review Panel, The Victorian Society Northern Building Committee and the Manchester Conservation Areas and Historic Buildings Panel.
