Tony specialises in the design of urban hard landscapes and the architectural settings of memorial sculptures in Conservation Areas, providing advice and services including: project management, programming, and cost control; initial research; finding an appropriate site; feasibility studies, including early engagement and liaising with the owner of the site, Westminster City Council, Historic England, and stakeholders, as appropriate; feeding site restrictions and opportunities into the sculptural competition brief; organising client appointments for structural engineers, QS, and other consultants, as appropriate; developing the design of the architectural setting, landscaping and lighting; carrying out planning negotiations; making the necessary applications for planning and/or listed building consent; detail design, tender documentation, and action; liaising with the foundry on the production and installation of bronze-work; administering building contracts and preparing maintenance manuals; chairing project meetings and reporting to client meetings; and commemorative plaque and inscription design, organising the unveiling ceremony and liaising with the police, traffic control and the security services, and participating in meetings, as necessary.
